Explorapedia uses the following decompression Codecs to play certain kinds of sound:

Microsoft ADPCM
Microsoft PCM Converter

MORE INFORMATION

The Explorapedia series programs use the following Codecs to play the sounds in the contexts indicated.

Microsoft ADPCM:

  • Kids talking in the topics screens
  • Songs in Explorapedia: The World of People

Microsoft PCM Converter:

  • Tad's voice
  • Sound for some of the animations
  • Menu items in Explorapedia: The World of People (in Windows 3.x), Explorapedia: The World of Nature (in Windows 3.x), and Explorapedia: The World of Nature 1.2 (in Windows 95)
