TMGR: Dates Are Changed When Pasting Tasks from an Old File (151993)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q151993 SUMMARY
Task start and finish dates may change when you paste tasks from an old
Microsoft Team Manager team file into another team file.
MORE INFORMATION
In Microsoft Team Manager, start and finish dates are calculated fields.
These dates are based on the start date of the team file and the leveling
process that Microsoft Team Manager uses. In the leveling process, tasks
are rescheduled in an attempt to rectify any people conflicts within the
team file. Therefore, task dates may change. When you paste a task, the
earliest it is scheduled is the start date for your team file; most likely,
the leveling process will change the date.
To change the start date of your plan, click Options on the Tools menu,
click the Calculation tab, and modify the Schedule Start Date field.
