TMGR: Drag-and-Drop Not Available from Internet Explorer 2.0 (151144)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot drag information from Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0 and drop it into Microsoft Team Manager. Other applications' information can be dragged and dropped into Microsoft Team Manager.

Drag-and-drop operations work correctly from Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0.

WORKAROUND

Instead of using the drag-and-drop feature to transfer information from Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0 into Microsoft Team Manager, use the following steps:

  1. Highlight the data you want to transfer into Microsoft Team Manager.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  3. Switch to Microsoft Team Manager.
  4. Highlight the cell in which you want to place the data.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Paste.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
