TMGR: Pointer May Not Indicate Drag-and-Drop Unavailable (151143)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q151143 SUMMARY
When you try to move or copy information by dragging it from one cell to
another within Microsoft Team Manager or from an external application, the
pointer indicates that a drop is not possible only if the pointer is not
over a cell. This behavior occurs even if the data is not of the correct
type to drop in that cell, or if the cell only displays calculated data.
This differs from the typical Windows behavior of displaying a "No Drop"
pointer when the mouse pointer is positioned over an object that cannot
accept the data.
MORE INFORMATION
If you try to drop information into a cell that cannot accept the data,
nothing is entered and no error messages are generated. Additionally, if
you try to drag information to a cell that cannot accept the data within
the same instance of Microsoft Team Manager (which would move the data), the
data is removed from the source cell and is not placed back into the plan.
You can recovered this loss if you click Undo Drag on the Edit menu before
you perform any other action.
