XL97: Moving Text Box on Chart Causes Chart to Grow (150686)

When you move a text box that is located in a Microsoft Excel chart, you
may experience one or more of the following problems:
- The text box grows larger.
- The chart grows much larger.
- The chart that you have pasted into your Microsoft Word document grows
much larger.
CAUSE
These problems can occur if the following conditions are true:
- You create a chart in Excel.
-and-
- You add a text box to the chart.
-and-
- You zoom the Excel worksheet to a percentage other than 100%.
-and-
- You copy the chart.
-and-
- You click Paste Link in the Paste Special dialog box in Word.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the
beginning of this article.
WORKAROUND
To work around the problem, set the zoom level of the worksheet that
contains the chart to 100%.
