Works 4.0 Error: The Filter Does Not Exist (150653)

SYMPTOMS

You may receive the following error when trying to print a test envelope or label:
The filter does not exist.

Works will stop the print merge process.

RESOLUTION

This error occurs when you attempt to print a test label or envelope and have selected a database filter on the label or envelope's Recipients tab.

To avoid this error, select the filter for your merged document after printing the test envelope or label. After printing the test, click on the Recipients tab and specify the filter. Then click the Printing tab to print the envelopes or labels.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Works for Windows version 4.0.

This problem was corrected in Works version 4.0a and 4.5.
