Text you paste from WordPad into a Works 4.0, 4.5, or 4.5a Word Processing
and database documents appears as an object rather than as text.
RESOLUTION
To bring WordPad text into Works as text rather than as an object, use the appropriate method for the Works module you are using.
Word Processor
To paste the WordPad text into a word processing document, use one of the following methods.
Method 1
Close WordPad before you use the Paste command in Works.
Method 2
Use the Paste Special command to paste the text into the Works document. To do this:
- On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
- In the Paste Special dialog box, click Formatted Text (RTF) or
Unformatted Text.
- Click OK.
Database
To insert WordPad text into a database document, first paste the text into a spreadsheet document, then copy the text from the spreadsheet to the database document you are using.
