MPRJ4: Header or Footer Text May Be Truncated on Printout (149895)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for the Macintosh 4.0
This article was previously published under Q149895 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, text in a project header or footer
may be truncated when it is printed. This problem occurs even though the
text in the print preview appears to be correct.
CAUSE
The Hewlett Packard DeskWriter and DeskJet color printer drivers have an
option to print using Best quality. If you select both the Best quality and
the Print Using Color options, text may be truncated on the printed page.
The problem is more likely to occur if you use the Reduce/Enlarge feature
of the printer driver in conjunction with the Best quality and Print Using
Color options. The more compressed (that is, the smaller percentage) the
print job becomes, the more likely text will get truncated.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, print your projects using the Normal quality option.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
