TMGR: Cannot Sort on Description Field (149865)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Team Manager, you cannot sort on the Description field because it is not available on the Custom Sort menu.

WORKAROUND

Create a custom Text field that you can sort on. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Select the column to the right of where you want the column inserted.
  2. Select Column on the Insert menu.
  3. Click the Custom Fields button.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Choose a field name. The default is Text Field 1.
  6. Under Type, select Text.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Copy the data from the Description field, and then paste it into your new custom field.
