TMGR: Recurring Subtask Rows Cannot Be Cleared (149813)

SYMPTOMS

When you select an individual subtask under a recurring task (by clicking the ID number for that task), it is not possible to clear the task by clicking Clear on the Edit menu. No warning or disabling of the Clear command occurs to indicate that this command is unavailable for the current selection.

WORKAROUND

If your goal is to remove the task, then instead of clicking Clear, click Delete.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
