SUMMARY

When a recurring task is created in a team file, and the person assigned to the task is sent an update, the person's Microsoft Team Manager for team members task list is populated with one line for each of the subtasks that make up the recurring task.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft Team Manager for team members displays one entry for each sub- task that makes up the original recurring task, assuming the person has been assigned to each entry. Typically, this is done by dragging the recurring task (summary) and dropping it onto the person in the People drag- and-drop tool.

If the recurring task occurs every week for a year, then there will be 52 new tasks in the person's task list. These tasks are integrated into the person's task list alphabetically. If there are other tasks entered, they may seem to disappear because of the large number of tasks. Using the Options button, you can change the sort to something other than task name.
