This article was previously published under Q149762 SUMMARY
You can configure Services for Macintosh (SFM) on a multi-homed Windows NT
Server. The Zone value in the AppleTalk Protocol Configuration dialog box
can be configured on a per-network-card basis but the server will still
reside in only one zone.
MORE INFORMATION
AppleTalk can be bound to multiple network cards. Each network card is
registered as a different AppleTalk node and Windows NT Server can route
between them. However, AppleTalk registration rules require that any
AppleTalk device (computer or printer) be listed in only one zone, so the
Windows NT AFP server process registers only one network adapter in the
Desired/Default zone. If the administrator assigns a different Desired
zone for each network card, the last Desired Zone selected will be where
the Windows NT AFP server process registers itself.
