PUB: Publisher Incorrectly Numbers Columns in a Table Frame (149466)

SYMPTOMS

If you select a column in a Microsoft Publisher table and apply a numbered list format to the data in the table, each cell in the column contains the number one rather than a number that is incremented automatically.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, number the cells using any of the following methods.

Method 1: Use the Indents And Lists Command

  1. Select the first cell that you want to have a number.
  2. On the Format menu, click Indents And Lists.
  3. Click the Numbered List radio button.
  4. In the Start At box, type the number that you want to appear in that cell.
  5. Repeat steps 1-5 for each cell that you want to contain a number.

Method 2: Type the Numbers in the Column
