PUB: Insertion Point Marks Upper-Left Corner of Dropped Object (146618)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Publisher for Windows 3.0
This article was previously published under Q146618 SUMMARY
If you drag an object from another program into your publication, the
insertion point will display an arrow with a plus sign and a small
rectangle. When you release the mouse button, the current pointer position
will mark the upper-left corner of where the dropped object will appear.
NOTE: This behavior is different from the way other programs handle dropped
objects.
MORE INFORMATION
If you drag an object into a program such as Microsoft PowerPoint for
Windows 95, version 7.0, or CorelDRAW! version 5.0, the position of the
pointer marks the center of where the dropped object will appear. In
addition, the object may appear in outline form while you move the pointer.
If you drag an object from one place to another on the same
publication page, you will see an outline of the object as you move
it. If you drag an object to another instance of Publisher, you will
not see the outline of the object.
