PUB: Format of Pasted Text Changed in Publisher (146231)

If you copy some text and paste it into the middle of another paragraph,
the formatting of the pasted text may change to that of the new paragraph.
For example, if you copy several words formatted for 12 point, black, Arial
Bold and paste it into the middle of a paragraph formatted for 10 point,
red, Times New Roman, the pasted text will also be in red Times New Roman.
CAUSE
This is the way Publisher is supposed to work. It tries to integrate the
pasted text into the existing text. While this behavior is different from
earlier versions of Publisher, it does actually save work in the majority
of cases, especially if you are assembling a long publication from a
variety of shorter ones.
If the copied text has very different formatting (for example, more than
one font, more than one color, and so on) you will see the following
message when you try to paste it:
Preserve the text frame's format?
Click Yes to make the new text look like the rest of the text in this
frame. Click No to keep the text's original formatting.
If you copy text and paste it into the beginning of a new and empty
line, the text will retain its original formatting.
