OFF: Office Shortcut Bar Does not Auto Hide When Floating (141776)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office for Windows 95
This article was previously published under Q141776 SYMPTOMS
When you enable Auto Hide on the Office Shortcut Bar, drag the Office
Shortcut Bar to the middle of the screen, and then click the desktop, the
Office Shortcut Bar fails to hide. However, if you dock the Office
Shortcut Bar to the edge of the screen and click the desktop, the Office
Shortcut Bar hides.
CAUSE
The behavior occurs when you use Auto Hide and the Office Shortcut Bar is
floating (that is, it is not docked to the side of the screen). This
behavior is by design. You should use Auto Hide when the Office Shortcut
Bar is docked.
NOTE: If you start a program, drag the Office Shortcut Bar over the
program window, and enable Auto Hide, the Office Shortcut Bar fails to
hide if Always on Top is selected.
