OFF95: Office Not Installed to Msoffice Folder (141364)

When you install any of the products listed above, the installation files
may be installed to a folder (directory) other than the MSOffice folder.
(Note that the Setup dialog box indicates that the files will be installed
to the default MSOffice folder.)
CAUSE
This problem may occur if a folder called MSOffice previously existed on
the hard disk drive and was renamed to a name that starts with "MSOffice."
For example, if the original MSOffice folder is renamed "Msofficeold," the
products listed above will be installed to the Msofficeold folder.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, move any files or templates that you would
like to save to another folder and delete the renamed Msoffice folder.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the
beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.
