FAQ.HLP Help File: Error in Steps to Deploy Windows 95 (140809)

SYMPTOMS

The current FAQ help file incorrectly states under Using Systems Management Server to Deploy Windows 95 clients:

  1. From the Systems Management Server 1.1 CD-ROM, copy the following files to the source directory.

    WIN95.INF file from SMS\LOGON.SRV\MSTEST (for automated installs)
    WIN95MIN.INF file from SMS\LOGON.SRV\MSTEST (for manual installs)
    DOS2W95.EXE file from SMS\LOGON.SRV\MSTEST (to set up MS-DOS clients)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.1. This problem has been corrected in Systems Management Server version 1.2.
