SUMMARY

If you place wrapped text on a button on a dialog sheet, when you run the dialog box, the text appears on one line in the center of the button, and it is truncated at the edge of the button.

WORKAROUND

To avoid this problem, use the following steps:

  1. Clear the text from the button.
  2. Use the drawing toolbar to add a text box to the dialog box.
  3. Move and size the text box so that it fits over the button.
  4. Type the text you want in the box.
  5. With the text box selected, click Object on the format menu.
  6. Click the Patterns tab, and set the border and the fill to None.
This makes the text box "invisible" so that you can see the button image behind it. When you run the dialog box, the button functions normally, and the text is displayed on top of the button.
