When you run Setup for Creative Writer or Fine Artist, you may receive
one of the following error messages:
Setup Message
Could not create the file named '[your hard drive name]: MSKIDS:
CLEANUP'
-or-
Setup Message
Could not create the file named '[your hard drive name]: MSKIDS:
Creative Writer 1.1(a)'
-or-
Setup Message
Could not create the file named '[your hard drive name]: MSKIDS:
Fine Artist 1.1'
where [your hard drive name] is the name of your hard drive.
These errors are generated when a previous installation of
Creative Writer or Fine Artist has been moved to the System Folder.
RESOLUTION
The MSKids folder, located in the System Folder, must be removed.
To remove the folder, do the following:
- Open the System Folder.
- On the View menu, click By Name.
- Locate the MSKids folder(s).
- Drag the MSKids folder(s) to the Trash.
- Run Setup for Creative Writer or Fine Artist again.
The program should install successfully.
