This article was previously published under Q139650 SYMPTOMS
A table that spans two pages shows a border along the bottom of the row at
the end of the first page but does not show a border along the top of the
cell that starts the second page.
CAUSE
An automatic page break separates two rows, and the table is formatted so
that the cells have a bottom border (rather than with inside borders
between rows). This behavior is by design.
WORKAROUND
To correct the problem, apply a different type of border:
- Display the Border toolbar by clicking Toolbars on the View menu, and
selecting Borders. Click OK.
- In the table, select both cells (the cell at the bottom of the page and
the cell at the top of the next page).
- On the Border toolbar, click the Inside Border button. You may need to
click it twice. A line appears on each cell.
