SYMPTOMS

If you use the Windows Standard (extra large) appearance scheme and you move the mouse pointer over a "flyout" menu (a menu that becomes active when you move your mouse pointer over it), two mouse pointers may appear.

CAUSE

The cause of this problem is not known. It appears to only occur with certain hardware configurations.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, change to any other Windows appearance scheme:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
  2. Click the Appearance tab.
  3. In the Scheme box, change the scheme from Windows Standard (extra large) to a different scheme.
  4. Click OK.
