PUB: Word Story Editing Command Not Available (138683)

If you select a text frame and click the Edit menu, the "Edit Story in
Microsoft Word" command may not be available. This may happen even if you
have Word for Windows, Word for Windows NT, or Word for Windows 95
installed on your computer.
CAUSE
For the "Edit Story in Microsoft Word" command to be on the Publisher Edit
menu, both of the following must be true:
- You must have Word 6.x for Windows, Word 6.0 for Windows NT, or Word for
Windows 95 version 7.x installed on your computer. If you are using
Publisher 97, you can use Word 97 for Windows or one of the
aforementioned versions of Word.
- You must have installed Word before you installed Publisher.
The "Edit Story in Microsoft Word" command is not available if you are using
Word 1.x or 2.x or if you installed Word 6.x or 7.x after you installed
Publisher.
NOTE: Publisher for Windows 95, version 3.0 does not recognize Word 97 for

RESOLUTION
Install or reinstall Publisher after you install the appropriate version of
Word.
