This article was previously published under Q138427 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to customize the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar for
Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0, or Microsoft Office 97 for
Windows, you may receive the following message:
Are you sure you want to delete the buttons listed below? The
programs, files and contents of any folders that are represented
by the deleted button will be permanently lost.
If you click No, any other customize options chosen are lost.
WORKAROUND
To customize the view features or add buttons to the Office Shortcut Bar,
complete those tasks first. If you want to delete any buttons, do not
delete them when you make other adjustments. Perform these operations as
a separate task.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
