Powerpoint Quick Preview Launch Generates Error Using Appstart (138240)

SYMPTOMS

Powerpoint generates the following error when Powerpoint Quick Preview is launched:
Powerpoint could not locate or start the Quick Preview. It can be installed using Powerpoint Setup.
Powerpoint Quick Preview then launches afterwards.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
