Adobe Photoshop May Hang System with Mouse Driver Version 9.01 (138022)

When you are using the Microsoft Mouse driver version 9.01 for Windows in
Windows version 3.x or Windows for Workgroups version 3.x, running Adobe
Photoshop may cause your computer to hang (stop responding).
CAUSE
Photoshop replaces the Windows mouse and keyboard drivers with its own
versions.
RESOLUTION
Run the Windows Setup tool in Control Panel. Remove the Adobe drivers for
the keyboard and mouse. Replace them with Microsoft drivers.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here
in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
