PUB: Linked Text Frames in Paper Direct Business Card Templates (136838)

SUMMARY

Eight of the business card templates included in the Paper Direct Templates version 4.0 have all of their text frames linked together. Although the Tips Box on these templates say "All text frames on this page are linked," this linking can cause confusion when you try to place your own text into the frames.

To make these templates easier to use:
  1. Open one of the template files in Publisher
  2. Click the first of the text frames.
  3. Click the "chain" button to unlink the text frame.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all the text frames.
  5. On the File menu, click Save As.
  6. Make sure the Template check box in the Save As dialog box is selected.
  7. Save the file with its original name.
The specific template files are all dated 1/10/94 with a timestamp of 1:38:44 PM. The following table lists the files that are affected by this problem.
