PUB: Can't Paste Text Selection as a Picture (136749)

SYMPTOMS

If you select some text within a text frame, click Copy on the Edit menu, deselect the text frame, and click Paste Special on the Edit menu, the option to paste the text as a picture is not available.

RESOLUTION

If you want to paste text as a picture, do the following:
  1. Create a text frame.
  2. Click away from the text frame, then click the text frame to select it. Do not drag over any of the text in the frame.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Copy Text Frame or Cut Text Frame.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
  5. In the list of available data types, click Picture.
