SYMPTOMS

When an outline border is applied to a paragraph that spans two pages (for example, a paragraph that starts on the bottom of one page and ends on the next), Works doesn't apply a bottom border at the end of the first page, or top border on the beginning of the next page.

CAUSE

The borders are not applied because Works treats the paragraph as one unit.

MORE INFORMATION

To have a complete border print on both pages, you need to add a carriage return and page break to the end of the last line on the first page. This breaks the paragraph and allows the border to appear along the bottom of that page and the top of the next.

To insert a carriage return and the manual page break, do the following:

  1. Click your mouse to put the cursor at the end of the last line of the first page.
  2. Press ENTER.
  3. On the Insert menu, click Page Break.
