SUMMARY

If you turn off the Microsoft Publisher status bar, you also turn off the Hide Help and Hide Index buttons. In this situation you can close the Help pane by clicking Hide Help on the Help menu, or by pressing SHIFT+F1.

To turn the status bar off or on:
  1. On the View menu, click Toolbars And Rulers.
  2. If you select the Status Bar check box, the Status Bar will show. If you clear the check box, the Status Bar will be hidden.
Using the right mouse button, you can also click any unoccupied space on any toolbar and select or clear the Status Bar choice on the popup menu.
