When you select the "Use Tab and Backspace Keys to Set Left Indent" check
box (click Options on the Tools menu and click the Edit tab), and then
press the TAB key to set the left indent for a paragraph, Word fails to set

CAUSE
This problem occurs when you press the TAB key before you type any text in
the paragraph.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, first type the paragraph, move the insertion
point to the beginning of the paragraph, and then press the TAB key.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows 95
versions 7.0 and 7.0a and Word 97 for Windows. Microsoft is researching
