  1. Use the right mouse button to click a button on the Office Shortcut Bar.
  2. On the shortcut menu, click Properties.
  3. Click the Shortcut tab, and click Minimized on the drop-down list for Run.
  4. Click OK.
When you click the tool that has the Run property set to minimized, the application will be run in a minimized state.

MORE INFORMATION

You can set properties for a shortcut, but you cannot set them for an executable file.

When tools are added to the Office Shortcut Bar, a shortcut is created. The shortcut allows you to set properties for that tool. Once the shortcuts are created for the Office Shortcut Bar, they are saved in the following location
     MSOffice\Office\Shortcut Bar\name of toolbar

where "MSOffice" is the directory to which you installed Microsoft Office. and "name of toolbar" is the name of the toolbar.

NOTE: You can also change the properties from the shortcut (that is created by the Office Shortcut Bar), instead of changing them from the tool on the Office Shortcut Bar.
