OFF95: Illegal Operation When You Try to View Macro in Binder (134277)

If you are in a Microsoft Excel worksheet section of a Microsoft Office
Binder and you try to view a Visual Basic macro by clicking Show in the
Object Browser, you will receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
Your only option is to click Close; clicking Close will shut down Microsoft
Office Binder. Any changes made since the last save are lost.
WORKAROUND
To view a Visual Basic for Applications macro that is in a Microsoft Office
Binder, do the following:
- On the Section menu, click View Outside.
- On the Tools menu, click Macro.
- Click once on the name of the macro you want to view.
- Click the Edit button.
The macro will appear.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
