This article was previously published under Q132471 SYMPTOMS When you try to query on dates in the 21st century, your
Works Database search fails and you may receive an error message similar to the
following:
No records matched the criteria
CAUSE Works assumes dates typed in the MM/DD/YY format refer to
the 20th century. For example, if you type 1/1/95, Works assumes you mean
January 1, 1995. However, if you type 1/1/01, Works assumes you mean January 1,
1901, even though the 2001 is closer to the current date. RESOLUTION When you initially type dates and querying on dates, type
the full year. For example, query on "1/1/2001" (without the quotation marks).
This correctly matches records that display as "1/1/01", as long as the records
were initially typed as "1/1/2001". REFERENCES Microsoft Works 3.x: "Microsoft Works User's Guide" page
