Works 3.0a ErrMsg: Can't Find File During Format Conversion (132457)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to convert a file to the Works 3.0a format, you receive the following error message:
Cannot find file or file already open: C:\tmp\~wks####.TMP
The file sometimes opens after this message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows version 3.0a. This problem was corrected in Works version 3.0b.

The file must be converted again after you install Works version 3.0b.
