Windows NT Backup Restore Err Msg : Unable to Create File Links (131616)

SYMPTOMS

When you restore a full drive using Windows NT Backup (NTBACKUP.EXE), the following error message may appear:
Unable to create file links

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT versions 3.1, 3.5 and 3.51. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
