Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Windows Internet Naming
Service (WINS) administration can be performed from a Microsoft Windows NT
3.5x or 4.0 workstation by installing the client server tools (located on
the Windows NT Server CD in the \CLIENTS\SRVTOOLS\WINNT directory).
Upon successful completion of the client server tools, you may create icons
for the DHCP and WINS Manager applications. Running WINS Manager requires
Administrator, Server Operator, or Account Operator privileges for the
server that is being configured. Only one administrator can work with a
particular WINS server at a time. When WINS Manager is running, a server
can be selected by either selecting a WINS server name appearing in the
WINS Manager Window, or by choosing Add WINS Server from the Server Menu.
DHCP administration is performed by starting DHCP Manager, choosing Add
from the Server menu, and typing a DNS name or IP address of the desired
DHCP server.
