The following steps describe how to install the Microsoft Mail for AppleTalk Networks workstation from a server share.

  1. Create a folder on the server from which you will be installing the workstation software. Name this folder Microsoft Mail.
  2. Copy the contents of Disk 2 - Macintosh Workstation to this folder.
  3. Share this folder, and make sure that the folder has at least See Folders and See Files rights.
  4. On the machine that you are installing the workstation software, use Chooser to connect to the server where the installation files are located.
  5. Run the Installer.
NOTE: It is not necessary to create a folder just for this purpose. You can use an existing share, but the contents of Disk 2 need to be copied to a sub-folder called Microsoft Mail.
