WD6X: Document May Print Incompletely Using LaserWriter Driver (125177)

Some text, paragraph shading and table borders may not print, even though
they appear on screen.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when all of the following are true:
- You are using the LaserWriter printer driver version 7.1.2 or earlier.
-and-
- The Background Printing option is enabled in the Chooser.
-and-
- The Black/White print option is selected.
RESOLUTIONMethod 1
Update to version 8.0 or later of the Apple LaserWriter printer driver.
Method 2
Turn off the Background Printing option in the Chooser. To do this, follow
these steps:
- In the Finder, choose the Chooser from the Apple menu.
- Select the current printer from the list of installed drivers.
- Select the Off button next to the Background Printing option
(located in the lower-right corner of the Chooser window).
STATUS
This has been confirmed to be a problem with the Apple LaserWriter driver
version 7.1.2 and before. We will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
