PUB: "Change Source," "Break Link" Not Available in Edit Links Dialog Box (124989)

Publisher 2.x

Page 334 of the "Microsoft Publisher User's Guide" incorrectly states that Publisher's Links dialog box has both a Change Source button and a Break Link button. Neither of these buttons is actually there. (To locate the Links dialog box, click Links on the Edit menu.)

Publisher 2.0x is the first program to use the OLE (Edit) Links dialog box. At the time Publisher 2.0 was written, these two buttons had not been implemented.

Publisher 3.0 and Publisher 97

Publisher 3.0 and Publisher 97 have a Change Source button in the (Edit) Links dialog box. The Change Source button allows you to select of another object of the same type to replace the linked object.

There is no Break Link button in Publisher 3.0 or Publisher 97.
