SYMPTOMS

When you create a script in the Works Communication module that contains a WAITFOR command with a long argument, the following error message may appear
MSWORKS caused a General Protection Fault in MSWORKS.EXE at <module>
where <module> is a memory address that may vary.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works version 3.0 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Works version 3.0a and 3.0b.

MORE INFORMATION

The WAITFOR argument is the text following a WAITFOR command in a script. It is also displayed in the "Wait for the following text:" box when selecting a WAITFOR command in the Modify Script dialog box. See pages 462-468 of the version 3.0 "Microsoft Works for Windows User's Guide" for more information about using scripts in the Communications module.
