WD: How to Tell Difference Between Publishers and Subscribers (122686)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh 6.0
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh 6.0.1
- Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q122686 SUMMARY
By default, Microsoft Word for the Macintosh displays publishers and
subscribers similarly: that is, as text in your document. As a result, you
cannot tell the difference between a publisher (which Word marks with a
bookmark) and a subscriber (which Word includes in your document using a
SUBSCRIBER field) unless you change the View options.
To change the View options, click Options on the Tools menu (in Word 98
click Preferences) and then click the View tab. To view publishers, click
to select the Bookmarks check box; and to view subscribers, click to select
the Field Codes check box, and then click OK.
