Works: Sharing Custom Templates (122044)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works 3.0
- Microsoft Works 3.0a
- Microsoft Works 3.0b
This article was previously published under Q122044 SUMMARY
Works for Windows allows you create multiple custom templates.
These templates can be shared with other Works users, whether they
are standalone users or on a network. However, because Works creates
separate configuration files for each Works user on a network, each
user must add the custom template to his or her own Works installation to
use the shared template file.
To share a template with another Works 3.0 for Windows user, use the
template to create a new document, and then save that new
document to a floppy disk or a shared directory on the network. To
use the file as a template, each user then must separately open the
file in his or her instance of Works, and resave the file as a template.
