SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you print a report, you may receive the following error message:
There is not enough printable space available on the page

CAUSE

On some reports such as the "Who Does What When" report, if your task names are extremely long, there may not be enough space on the printed page to fit the entire task name on one page.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, try the following troubleshooting techniques:

  1. Decrease the margin settings for the page (they may be too wide).
  2. Decrease the font size of the report so that the entire text can fit onto one page width.
  3. Change the printed orientation of the report. For example, if the report is being printed in a portrait orientation, try switching to landscape orientation.
  4. Decrease the length of the task or resource names.
