SUMMARY

When you write macros that contain commands referring to QuickDraw GX, such as FileMacPageSetupGX or FileCustomMacPageSetupGX, your macro must first determine whether QuickDraw GX is installed.

QuickDraw GX is Apple's new version of QuickDraw, which is the language the Macintosh uses to draw images to the screen. If installed, QuickDraw GX provides the means for Word 6.0 to access different Page Setup options.

The following macro examples determine whether QuickDraw GX is installed. Use the appropriate method for your situation.

Visual Basic for Applications

The Visual Basic for Applications macro will return True in a dialog box if QuickDraw GX is installed, and False if it's not. 
   Sub IsQuickDraw()
      MsgBox System.QuickDrawInstalled
   End Sub
