SUMMARY

Microsoft Project version 4.0 Visual Basic Help incorrectly states that the FieldName property "Returns the name of the field in the active cell," and that the FieldNameList method "Returns the field names for all selecte fields." Both of these statements are incorrect. These keywords return field titles, not field names.

MORE INFORMATION

Each column in a task or resource table has an associated field name and title. To see this information for a column, double-click the column header to bring up the Column Definition dialog box. If the Title entry box is blank, the title is the same as the field name.

Field titles are customizable and show up as column headers when a table is viewed or printed. Field names must be chosen from predefined lists and are used internally by Microsoft Project to determine if and how fields should be calculated.
