ALT, SHIFT Keys Stick or System Beeps w/Access Utility Enabled (117929)

One or more of the following symptoms occur while you are running Windows
95:
- Pressing keys generates system beeps.
- The ALT and SHIFT keys seem to stick.
- Using the keypad causes cursor movement and/or opening or closing of
applications.
- An up-siren or down-siren sound is generated.
CAUSE
These symptoms can occur if the accessibility components of Windows 95 are
enabled and the system is not compatible with those components.
RESOLUTION
To disable Windows 95 accessibility components:
- Click the Start button on the taskbar.
- On the Settings menu, click Control Panel.
- Double-click Accessibility Options.
- For each of the accessibility properties, click the check boxes to
disable the options.
- Ensure that the Save Settings box is selected.
- Click the Apply Now button and OK button.
