SUMMARY
This article describes how to configure a Microsoft LAN Manager client
on an IBM OS/2 2.x workstation. IBM OS/2 2.x workstations support only
OS/2 clients (not MS-DOS).
Before you start, find out this information, which you have to provide
during installation:
- network card type
- unique computer name
- domain name
To install OS/2 client software, go to an OS/2 command prompt (full
screen or window) and type:
The Microsoft LAN Manager setup program copies the necessary LAN Manager
files and prompts you for disks as they are required.

Once the client software has been installed and the workstation rebooted,
the OS/2 redirector (NETWKSTA.SYS) is automatically loaded during boot up.
The STARTUP.CMD file contains the necessary net logon commands to the
server and it prompts you for your password.
