Change to "Prompt Before Saving" Check Box Not Saved (115138)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel for Windows 5.0
This article was previously published under Q115138 SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel 5.0, you can use the AUTOSAVE.XLA add-in function to
automatically save your workbooks at a time interval that you specify.
When you change the Minutes and Save options, these changes remain in
effect the next time you start Microsoft Excel. However, if you clear the
Prompt Before Saving check box, this change applies only to the current
session of Microsoft Excel. (That is, when you restart Microsoft Excel,
the Prompt Before Saving check box is automatically reselected.)
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in
Microsoft Excel for Windows version 5.0c.
