Dot Matrix Printer Controls Don't Function (114759)

When you have a dot matrix printer connected to a Windows NT workstation or
Windows NT Advanced Server, the printer controls do not function until
after the printer has printed a document.
WORKAROUND
Print a page on the printer. After the job has finished printing, the
controls on the printer function properly.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem has been corrected in Windows NT
Workstation and Windows NT Server version 3.5. This problem has also been
corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. For information on obtaining the Service Pack,
